So, i've been having some trouble modelling hair. I've gone through 3 different styles of poly hair, but none of them have come out very well.
Initially, i had disregarded the idea of using a hair modifier as it would take up too much rendering time, i had another look into it. In order to keep render time short i'm looking at using bigger strands of hair. Need to work out how to make the shadows work.
Not posted in a while, but been really busy. This is the crazy HR lady from my anim, she still needs some minor model changes, and texturing.

This is a little animatic of a piece i've been storyboarding. It was going to be the first part of my animation, but i've since decided to cut the tramp and this section from the piece completely. However, i thought i'd post it here for fun.

Here are some basic hair tests i did, mainly for fun, and just to experiment. Although i like them, they sorta kill rendertime if i want to make it look good, and i'm not sure they entirely suit the style i'm going for.
This is my character after some slight edits, moving the legs apart, and making the hands smaller and chubbier

Ok, here is the quick render and last page of concepts
Gonna start working on my project a little bit every night from now on. Here is a plasticine model i made yesterday afternoon. It's not particularly great, but it has helped me get a quick feel for his proportions. Gonna model him in max now. I'll keep you posted
